Roger G. Honey is the owner and manager of the Law Offices of Roger G. Honey, A Professional Corporation, with offices in both the Los Angeles area as well as the San Francisco Bay area.  He is the former general counsel for a national provider of security services and event management for the entertainment industry. Prior to forming the Law Offices of Roger G. Honey, APC, Mr. Honey was the managing attorney and chief trial attorney of the Northern California office a firm specializing in Real Estate and Business Law. Mr. Honey has over twenty-one years experience as a litigator, trial attorney and transactional lawyer. For the last twelve years, he has focused his career in the areas of real estate litigation, financing transactions, construction defect litigation, business planning and business litigation.  In addition to maintaining his license to practice law, Mr. Honey is a licensed real estate broker, operating Preferred Real Estate in the Santa Clarita Valley of Southern California from 2004 through 2008.

Mr. Honey is a 1994 graduate of the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law and obtained his bachelor’s degree, with honors from San Diego State University in 1989.

Over the years Mr. Honey has taken approximately 25 jury and bench trials to verdict or judgment dating back to his second year in practice.   In 2011 Mr. Honey took six cases to trial in counties as diverse as Mariposa, Alameda, San Francisco and Contra Costa.  In 2014, Mr. Honey obtained a defense verdict for his clients after a four-month jury trial in Sonoma County with an amount in dispute of over $5 million.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Honey is an adjunct professor at Menlo College in Atherton, California, teaching business law since the Fall of 2015.  He writes materials and presents seminars to real estate professionals, lawyers and expert witnesses on subjects including residential and commercial real estate transactions, construction defect issues, effective trial presentation and effective use of experts at deposition and trial.  Mr. Honey regularly testifies as an expert witness on both the standard of care of attorneys and the standard of care of real estate professionals. 

Admitted to all California Courts, all U.S. District Courts in California and the US Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.
